Timber Care & Warranty
Your timber furniture and vanities are crafted with care and designed to be enjoyed for years to come. To maintain their beauty and integrity, follow these simple guidelines:
Avoid:
- Direct contact with hot surfaces. Always use heat-resistant pads or coasters to protect the timber from heat marks caused by hot pots, coffee cups, or other items.
- Spills. Clean up spills immediately with a damp cloth and warm soapy water to prevent staining or damage. Follow with a dry cloth to dry the surface.
- Water pooling. Avoid allowing water or other liquids to sit on the timber for extended periods. Excessive moisture can cause discoloration or damage to the finish.
- Prolonged direct sunlight. Protect your timber from excessive UV exposure, as it can cause fading or discoloration over time.
- Prolonged Moisture exposure: To maintain the integrity of your furniture and vanities in wet areas (such as bathrooms and laundries), avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. Ensure these spaces are well-ventilated, using fans or natural airflow, to prevent damage caused by damp environments.
Regular Maintenance:
- Dust your timber furniture regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent buildup.
- For deeper cleaning, use a mild, non-abrasive soap and warm water, then wipe dry immediately.
Preventing Scratches:
While we suggest being mindful of abrasive materials that come into contact with your timber pieces, we believe that minor scratches and knocks add to the character and story of the item, enhancing its unique charm over time. How you care for your furniture is entirely up to you—whether you embrace the marks of daily life or take extra precautions to keep it looking its best.
Our warranty covers the craftsmanship and materials of your piece under normal use, but there are some important considerations:
- Natural Characteristics: Timber is a natural material that may shrink, expand, contract, bow, split, or change color over time due to environmental factors. These are inherent characteristics of timber and are not covered under our warranty.
- Finishes: All finishes on our furniture and vanities are subject to everyday wear and tear, and thus cannot be warranted.
- Intended Use: The warranty does not apply if the product has been used for purposes other than its intended use.
- Claims Process: Warranty claims must be submitted in writing and include photos of the issue. We retain the right to determine the validity of the claim.
- Repairs: If a repair is required, the item must be returned to our workshop. The warranty covers the repair itself but does not cover freight costs associated with the claim.
- Alterations: Warranty claims will not be accepted if the item has been altered in any way after purchase.
